So it's possible that I'm am the world's worst blogger..I get blog envy when I read my sisters one! She's in a similar position to me - moved away from home to start new adventures but with a lot more dedication.
The last year has whizzed by, as they tend to do. I spent 2.5 desperate months searching for a job in the desert (otherwise known as the Middle East) and another 1.5 months waiting for the visa to arrive. I've now lived in Bahrain for 6 months and can confidently day that this is not quite the island lifestyle I had in mind. My Island will have tropical beaches and lots of fruit, this one has sky scrapers, camels and an endless supply of bread. It also has my job, the reason for being here and at least that is going fairly well. I type that while waiting to board my flight to dubai to work there for a few days.. so it's not all bad!
Being in the Middle East has opened the travel gates. In the last 6 months I've been to turkey, South Korea and dubai. And in just over a month I'll finally be heading to the land down under! Bring on 20 December!
My plus one and I will also be moving in about a months time into a place of our own so that should provide some excitement too.. now we must just make it through the painful task of house hunting.
The weather is finally reaching human temperatures after a rather warm summer. We can finally open all the doors and windows and go for long walks without melting. Not sure if I'll ever get used to relying on the A/C. I'm extremely grateful for it, but not crazy about the air quality. Strangely enough I'm not a huge fan of mould:(
Anyway! My plane should start boarding soon. Hopefully it will not be a full year until my next post and next time there should be pictures!
